At the Immergas campus in Brescello, in the province of Reggio Emilia, the new Green Tech Center was created as a hub for research, experimentation and training: a place where technologies, expertise and people come together to envision new solutions for the way we will live and work in the future.
Designed by EFA Architecture Studio, the project completes the company campus with a rigorous, contemporary architectural language. Developed over two levels, the building houses research facilities, laboratories, training spaces, offices and lounge areas, organized around a central elevated courtyard that becomes the vibrant heart of the project.
The architectural composition alternates solid surfaces and glazed elements, creating a constant dialogue between indoors and outdoors. Within this balance, Panaria Ceramica contributes to defining the spaces with custom-developed surfaces for the project, designed to ensure continuity between indoor and outdoor environments, operational areas and spaces for interaction.
Neutral, material-inspired shades create a continuous visual thread between the interiors and the outdoor patio. Indoors, ceramic surfaces enhance floors and wall coverings, contributing to a perception of order, comfort and quality. Outdoors, they define the open-air spaces with coordinated, high-performance finishes that maintain the same understated aesthetic even in the most exposed areas.
This continuity between indoor and outdoor becomes one of the project's defining features: a design choice that does not separate functions but connects them, creating a more seamless spatial experience. Ceramic supports the architecture with discretion, accompanies the transition between indoors and outdoors, and gives the project a sense of balance, solidity and natural hospitality.
Used across a variety of applications, Panaria Ceramica surfaces meet the technical requirements of a highly functional environment while helping make its spaces more pleasant to experience every day. At the Green Tech Center, the material thus becomes part of a broader narrative: one of tangible innovation, close to people, capable of combining performance, beauty and confidence.
