Municipal Swimming Pool of Stará Ľubovňa

In the heart of eastern Slovakia, the municipal swimming pool of Stará Ľubovňa has recently undergone a major renovation, transforming this long-standing community space into a modern, efficient, and sustainable facility.

Promoted by the local municipality in collaboration with Evaton and the architecture firm Architekti on:off, the project has significantly improved the building’s functionality and energy performance.

With renewed technical systems, new wellness areas, and the introduction of renewable energy sources (solar and geothermal), energy consumption has been reduced by 56%, achieving A0 energy certification and earning the prestigious “Presidential Green Seal” of the Slovak Republic.

Panaria Ceramica surfaces played a central role in shaping the project’s aesthetic and functional identity. The Urbanature collection in Cement was selected in both traditional 9 mm porcelain stoneware, ideal for high-traffic floors, and ultrathin large slabs Zero.3, perfect for continuous, lightweight wall coverings. A product that combines style with technology, Urbanature features the exclusive Protect antibacterial finish, which eliminates up to 99.9% of bacteria for safer, more hygienic environments.

The collection’s tactile appeal is complemented by the Even series in the Ocean tone, featured in both Shapes and Mosaic decors, bringing rhythm and movement to wellness areas. In addition, custom Panaria solutions were used in selected areas, chosen for their refined textures and visual harmony.
