Emotion Fitness

Ultra-modern and equipped with every comfort, the Emotion Fitness centre in Plzeň in the Czech Republic offers a dynamic, stimulating environment.  All the areas where the various activities are practised – from aerobics and yoga to equipment and exercises with personal trainers – feature parquet flooring, while a distinctly more urban style defines the bar, restaurant, and bathroom area. The need for a floor covering that is easy to sanitise and does not deteriorate over time – while ensuring easy removal of dirt and dust, along with a water absorption coefficient of less than 0.05% – prompted the designers to select one of Panaria Ceramica’s collections.

The Context collection, a captivating, advanced interpretation of the concrete effect, was chosen for the bar and restaurant area, as well as the fitness centre bathroom. This range of floor and wall tiles is inspired by the ancient workmanship of surfaces treated with mixtures of marble grit, stone and terracotta, blended in a cement-based compound. The aesthetic impact is that of a concrete effect, but the chosen colour, Hangar, a dark grey that almost fades into anthracite, lends the setting a distinctly metropolitan elegance. As with almost all of Panaria’s collections, Context also features PROTECT® protection, an antibacterial shield incorporated into the ceramic product, which eliminates up to 99.9% of bacteria from the surface.
